Foosball is one of the most addictive table games in the world because it is so fun to play, no matter if you are a rookie or an advanced player. With that high interest all over the world, it is completely natural that there are foosball apps on the digital market of Android and Apple devices. But, as you all know, not every application is good and not every application can offer you the best gaming experience. So, how to know which application is worth downloading or even paying for? To answer this question all you need to do is to visit Google Play and Apple Store and check the statistics of the game. Both stores offer you much information about the game, like the number of downloads, screenshots, multiple reviews and overall score. Also, most developers are updating their applications and here you can read everything that is fixed or added in the app during the last update. But, if you are looking for a more in-depth review, then I suggest you to look at these 5 best foosball apps for Android and Apple:
The best foosball app on this list is made for Android and it is here for a reason. The number of downloads is about 29,300 and the overall score is 4.0. I think that is a pretty impressive score on that number of downloads. But, let’s forget the numbers for a second and talk about the game itself. The design is really good, the entire game looks like a Premier League game. Besides the look, the game has so much to offer. At the beginning, you can choose the Quick Match and Challenges and after few wins, you are able to play Tournament and even with 2 players. That is not everything you can choose, but for the rest, you have to win matches and challenges because most options are locked. You can unlock a new table, new players design and the new ball type which is pretty impressive. I like the fact that they made the entire game user-friendly. You can pick 1 out of 10 languages for the game and you can pick 1 out of 51 national teams to play with. This is only of all foosball apps which provides you that much.
Yes, Ludus Studio has made another app and they are proud owners of two really good foosball apps on the market. This one is actually the first application and the Foosball Cup World is the second. This application is downloaded 13,200 times and the overall score is 3.8, lower than the Foosball Cup World. The Foosball Cup is not as amazing as the Foosball Cup World, but it is still far better than the rest of the list. The design of the app is OK, but a little too dark at some points. The app doesn’t have a menu so the moment you start it you can pick everything you want. It is a little chaotic until you figure out where everything is. You can play the Tournament and the Quick Match, unfortunately, no 2 Players option. Besides that, you can pick the size of the table, the player formation, the difficulty and how many goals one team has to score to win the game. The only downside I can see is the size of the ball. It seems too big for the field, but you can adjust to it. I must say Great work, Lupus Studio!
I am honestly not impressed with the foosball apps in the iOS store so there will be only two iOS applications on this list. It has 179 ratings and the overall score is 4.0, which is as much as the Foosball Cup World, but I find Foosball Cup better than this one. It is a decent app but it lacks some details which those two above have. For example, the uniforms aren’t for national teams, you can’t choose the table nor the ball type. You can choose the camera view, the layout and 1 out of 4 difficulty levels. I like the fact that it is a pleasure to play foosball, but the same pleasure I can find on first two foosball apps which have more features.
This application doesn’t have many downloads but I find it honestly, perfect for hobby players. It has around 1,200 downloads with overall score 3.8. Very high score for so little downloads, which shows plenty potentials. But, there is one thing you have to keep in mind. When you download it, the name changes to Foosball 2013, but it is the same application. (little heads up) Now, let’s talk about the app. When you start the app you will see one simple menu, where you can choose the game mode and that is it. Don’t worry, there are other things you can choose in this app in another menu and you enter in when you choose the game mode – Battle vs tournament. On the second menu, you can choose the difficulty, the player formation and the color of the player uniforms. There are two more things you can choose and not much foosball apps offer that. Those are; the duration of the game and the number of goals one team has to score to win the game. The graphics on the field are pretty simple and the entire player control is pretty simple. All you have to do is touch the ball with the player and it will hit the ball in other direction. There are options to perform more complex hits and they are all described in the game.
This iOS application is on the 5th place of my 5 best foosball apps for Android and Apple list, because it offers good gaming experience, but not as good as the rest of the list. The overall score for the game is 3.5 out of 499 reviews, which is not bad at all. When you enter the game you can choose to play against the CPU or against your friend which is great. Also, if you are a rookie you don’t have to worry the game will be too hard for you because you can choose1 out of 3 levels of difficulty. I like that because you can improve your skills and also you can adjust the game difficulty to you. Besides that, there are not many options. You choose the game mode and the difficulty and the match starts. I like how the ball acts on the field, it is not too slow or too fast, it really adapts to your game style. Even though it does lack some important features I find this game, like other foosball apps on this list, enjoyable. The only thing is that I could get bored by this game after few matches which is not likely with some other apps on the list.
