In my further tutorials I will give a post on “How to redirect traffic intended for one site” to your fake website and for that your have make a replica of the original website .To remove the complexity simply what you have to do is make a copy of the original website and host it on your server.
HTTrack is a wonderful tool that is used as a website copier. This tool is very useful when you don’t have access to Internet connection and you have to read anything from any website but the condition is that you should have the clone of the website prior to going anywhere in the remote area. This can be extremely useful when you are cloning any website or login page and sending to your friend to capture the login credentials (Phishing attack).
HTTrack comes in both Windows and Linux but here I am going to tell about Windows , just to make the tutorial easy.
You can download the HTTrack for windows on its official website.
Once you fire up HTTrack ,you will see something like the below screenshot and what you have to do is just press the next button.
Now you have to choose the appropriate project name and the location where you want to save the clone. In my case I choose the project name “MightyShouts”.
Now you have to choose the website URL .In my case I choose http://mightyshouts.com and click Next.
Once you get the screen like the below screenshot , just to make your task easy Press the Finish button.
You will get something like the above screenshot and you just have to relax and let the website copier do its task.
Do tell us how the “HTTrack ” worked in the comments below. If you like the article then you can share it among your friends.
